Volunteering - Beccles Sunday Club

Some elderly people don’t see anyone from one end of the week to the other!

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of some of the elderly, disabled and housebound people living in our community?

We are always looking for new volunteers to help at Sunday Club. We will pleased to hear from anyone who regularly has 2-3 hours to spare on Sunday afternoons and who enjoys meeting people.

The type of jobs you may be asked to do:
Help people on and off the buses
Meet and greet people as they arrive at the club
Help with the raffle and/or bingo
Serve refreshments and wash up
Sit and talk to club members that may be on their own
Other volunteering opportunities include
Helping by baking – cakes, scones, sausage rolls etc
Entertaining – can you play the organ, sing, tell jokes?
Crafts – do you have a skill that you could share with our members?
Bus Driver – Are you able to drive a 12-seated mini bus? We need people to help pick up club members from 1pm and take them home at approximately 4.45pm

Our volunteers find that helping at Sunday Club is a very satisfying and rewarding experience. It can also be a good way to meet new people and even developing new skills.
Call Jill on 07789885488 if you can help out.
